We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Tester to support the Game Planning and Design.
The QA Tester is responsible for testing game products to identify bugs, abnormalities, unintended behavior, and report resulting issues to the development teams. He/she may be required to research issues submitted to Customer Service Reps and Game Masters. He/she will need to thoroughly investigate and document daily problems/technical issues with Nexon games, and communicate issues to supervisors. The ideal QA Tester is extremely thorough, diligent, reliable, and possesses good written and verbal communication skills.

The company’s growing library of titles includes the world-famous franchise MapleStory, the online, the role playing fantasy life of Mabinogi and the online multiplayer first-person shooter Combat Arms.
Responsibilities:
• Identify unintended behavior within a product. Address and resolve any technical abnormalities and bugs found.
• Test builds and updates to game products to ensure that the content matches intended design. Document bugs and issues found using DevTrack so that developers can replicate the problem and address it. Clearly communicate and track the status of the bug through fix iterations until a confirmed resolution is found.
• Work closely with Customer Service and Game Master departments to monitor live online game service and verify and track player reports of bugs and technical issues. Document and communicate game/technical/investigation issues to supervisors.
• Complete tasks as necessary as dictated by Producers and other production staff.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 1-2 years of related experience
• Flexible work schedule: employees may be required to work a variety of shifts including nights and weekends due to the online nature of all Nexon games. Overtime may be requested due to game fixes/updates or product launches.
• Possess good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office. Experience with Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Office, and experience with Microsoft Internet Explorer is required.
• Database Knowledge: DevTrack/DevTest/Test Track/Merant Tracker.
• Must be reliable and thorough, and possess excellent attention to detail
• Must have good communication skills; verbal and written
• Ability to work well with others and independently
• Ability to multi-task and perform in challenging environments
• Familiarity with technical side of testing for many common issues that may arise during the installation of PC game software a plus.
• Experience with MMO and online multiplayer games a plus
• Creativity and problem-solving skills with limited info a plus
