Full Time (guaranteed 40 hours / week). This position pays $10.50 an hour.
The ideal candidate is a professional graduate who is fully invested and dedicated in obtaining a professional career in FILM FESTIVALS only. We are NOT seeking candidates who are interested in becoming writers/directors or those interested in working in on set production.
This position requires advanced knowledge of how to:
1. Operate and film with DSLR cameras
2. Use film camera lenses
3. Use sound recording equipment, lavilier microphones and boom mics
4. Run a set as a director/AD type (manage crew, scheduling and directing)
5. Delegate to a team efficiently and effectively
6. Multitask in many different areas
7. Perform phone, email and direct personal face to face outreach on behalf of an organization
8. Coordinate logistics and equipment/personnel for an event
9. Edit on Final Cut and/or Premiere
Jobs duties will include but are not limited to:
* Manage Incoming Organization / Event Inquiries and Answer General Emails / Voicemail / Phone Calls
* Shoot, Direct and Oversee filming of on-camera filmmaker interview series
* Film Submission Outreach & Follow Up to Potential Festival Submitters
* Initial Festival Sponsor Outreach & Follow Up Emails
* Manage Festival Membership Outreach & Follow Up
* Manage Festival Event Volunteer/Intern Development, Training and Sustainability
* Manage Festival Events on site
* Manage Social Media Account/Calendar for Promotions: FB, Twitter, Instagram, MeetUp, etc.
* Manage Festival Event Prep Day & Lead-Up Prep
* Manage Festival Screening Event Attendee Outreach & Follow Up
* Manage Festival Event Prep (Coordinating Guest lists, testing films, ordering bar items, picking up equipment, scheduling volunteers, projection, etc.)
* Attend regular staff meetings + fundraising planning
* Participate in NFMLA event planning
* Attend and report at Board Meetings
* Participate in NFMLA Special Events
* Manage daily office interns
