50/50 Raffle Representative (Game Day)

REPORTS TO: Director, Stadium Tours
JOB STATUS: Seasonal, Non-Exempt
The New York Yankees are seeking highly enthusiastic, hardworking and dedicated 50/50 Raffle Representatives to help promote the 50/50 Raffle program. 50/50 Raffle Representatives serve as the cornerstone for supporting and growing the Yankees 50/50 Raffle initiative. 50/50 Raffles take place at all Yankees home games, where one lucky winner receives 50% of the jackpot and the remaining 50% is directed to the Yankees Foundation to support ongoing charitable efforts.
50/50 Raffle Representatives are the driving force behind educating and assisting guests with acquiring 50/50 Raffle tickets. 50/50 Raffle Representatives are continually on the move throughout Yankee Stadium beginning prior to gates opening and through the end of each 50/50 Raffle (typically end of game). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy being in an outdoor stadium environment, around large crowds, engaging guests and fans, and are self-driven in achieving goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Represent the New York Yankees and the Yankees Foundation in a positive and professional manner, while providing exceptional customer service to guests
• Arrive at Yankee Stadium up to two (2) hours prior to game time (arrival time subject to change)
• Engage, motivate and assist guests with obtaining 50/50 Raffle tickets either at assigned stationary kiosk or roaming designated areas around Yankee Stadium.
• Ability to approach and captivate large numbers of guests upon gates opening (pre-game) and through duration of game (in-game)
• Use mobile handheld devices and printer for the distribution of 50/50 Raffle tickets
• Clearly and concisely communicate the mission of the New York Yankees Foundation charitable endeavors and 50/50 Raffle participation details (draw times, winning number locations, website information, Foundation pillars, etc.)
• Effectively communicate to 50/50 Raffle Supervisors and 50/50 team troubleshooting matters, supply needs, location and kiosk assignments and equipment concerns.
• Adhere to 50/50 Raffle Supervisors' daily coverage assignments and adjust as directed pre-game and in-game
• Commit to working a minimum of 40 games March through September, with the possibility of post season games
• Other duties as assigned or requested by Director of Stadium Tours
Qualifications and Experience:
• High School diploma
• Professional demeanor, hospitable and customer service oriented
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, quick learner
• Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for the New York Yankees Foundation's mission
• Flexible work schedule and ability to work majority of home games during the baseball season
• Ability to work in an outdoor stadium environment
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time (with or without accommodation)
