Part Time Unpaid Internship
Description:
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department; including filing, photocopying, faxing, answering phones, relaying messages, scheduling meetings
• Maintain employee files to ensure accuracy and compliance; track all incoming and updated employee documentation
• Manage department calendars, voicemail and email boxes
• Assist in recruiting and onboarding processes, including scheduling candidate interviews, checking candidate references, processing background check paperwork, preparing new hire packages and preparing and collecting orientation paperwork
• Process incoming mail
• Assist with unemployment claims and employment verifications
• Perform additional duties and assist with projects as assigned
Qualifications
and Experience:
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
• Requires continual attention to detail and high level of organization
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Flexible work schedule
• Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
