The New York Television Festival (NYTVF) is hiring a Festival assistant for a contract position beginning in early June through July 20th. Start date is negotiable depending on availability.
The Festival is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic assistant to support the Festival Director and artist and industry team, through administrative and event support for the upcoming 14th Annual New York Television Festival slated for July 14-19 in Manhattan. This position is an excellent opportunity to begin or advance a career in event and meeting planning while accessing a wide swath of television industry decision-makers and creatives.
• Industry and Pass Holder Coordination Representative - requiring daily communication around all aspects of pass holder and sponsor benefits, including RSVP management, coordination of artistic juries, pass delivery and database maintenance.
• Office Support - organizing logistical elements for Festival events, maintaining central database of contacts, preparing outreach and follow up communications.
• Providing direct support to the Festival Director and Manager of Artistic Operations - schedule management, assisting with event organizational details, liaising with other staff, and completing other tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Availability to work a flexible schedule to include weeknights and weekends in the week prior and week of the Festival (weeks of July 9 and July 16)
• Bachelor Degree and proven interest in the television and/or event industry
• Extremely polished and professional demeanor
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and G-Suite
• Knowledge of Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop a plus
• Ideal candidate must be proactive and results-oriented
