Who We're Hiring:
We are looking for motivated, skilled, and collaborative technicians for the following touring roles:
A1 (Audio Lead / FOH Mixer)
A2 (Audio Assistant / Mic Tech)
L1 (Lighting Lead / Programmer-Operator)
L2 (Lighting Assistant / Focus / Ground Support)
V1 (Video Lead / Projectionist)
V2 (Video Assistant / Cable & Playback Tech)
Carp 1 (Head Carpenter / Staging Lead)
Carp 2 (Assistant Carpenter / Deck Setup / Floor Care)

Key Responsibilities:
While responsibilities vary by position, all technicians are expected to:
Participate in full load-in and load-out operations (staging, truss, audio, lighting, video, and soft goods)
Setup, test, and troubleshoot departmental gear per show specs and venue requirements
Work cross-departmentally to ensure timely and safe execution of all production elements
Serve as technical point person during showtime, including operating, monitoring, or standing by for quick response
Maintain assigned posts throughout the weekend (Mainstage, Lobby, Breakouts, Staff Office, etc.)
Uphold a high standard of safety, professionalism, and accountability
Collaborate with both the NYCDA team and local labor to lead and train where needed
Support special events, classes, and showcases throughout the weekend
Requirements:
Prior touring or live event experience in a relevant tech department (audio, lighting, video, carpentry)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Excellent team player mentality
Comfort with manual labor, lifting, and working on your feet for extended periods
Availability for consistent weekend travel
Positive attitude and respect for performers, teammates, and the audience experience
