The Associate Producer, Media is part of a dynamic media team within the Company’s Marketing & Media department. They will play a role in the creation of all seasonal and institutional related media projects and activities to further the brand, and to promote the Company’s annual season at Lincoln Center and its national and international touring activities. They will also provide internal production support for 3rd party media projects and partnerships. This position reports to the Director, Media and will work closely with all members of the department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Production coordination of all video and still photography shoots from pre- through post-production, scheduling to meet all objectives/deadline
Track pre-production, production, and post-production budgets for all assigned media projects
Maintain knowledge of and follow union rules for all sets
Coordination of crew, talent and booking Local 1 stagehands
Book locations & equipment rentals for shoots at NYCB, Lincoln Center, and off-site sound stages
Process project invoices for approval by team director before submission to finance, enter/ reconcile actuals & maintain year-to-date ledger
Assist in the management of freelance production assistants on shoots, as well as coordination of prep and return days
Supervise performance footage shoots with the appropriate Operations and Production personnel, including booking Local 1 stagehands, camera operators and sending shoot notifications; overseeing capture and ingestion of footage
Supervise production of City Ballet the Podcast and Anatomy of a Dance episodes, booking guests, recording audio and supervising edit
Maintain video office equipment in a secure, organized manner, keeping it in ready working condition as well as maintaining camera software updates
Assist with other department activities as needed
Minimum Requirements
3 years’ experience as an associate producer or 4 as production coordinator
Bachelor’s degree a plus
Strong project management, budgeting, and agreement drafting skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills
Extremely detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to take direction and to work as part of a team as well as independently
Strong command of English grammar, composition, and proofing
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be flexible in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Familiarity with Covid best filming practices a plus
Ability and willingness to work some nights and weekends in theater and on location
Ability to shoot and/or edit a major plus
Proficient with Macs and a command of MS Office
Proficient with Premiere Pro
Experience with project management tools, Airtable and Trello a plus
Experience with MAM systems, EditShare a plus
Some equipment lifting required
A demonstrated interest in the arts/culture, ballet and/or NYCB a plus

While performing the duties of this position the employee is frequently exposed to:

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. The hours of work are typically between 10 AM and 6 PM weekdays; position requires the ability to work performances and productions shoots that involve evenings and weekends.
