PART TIME Film, Media and Journalism FACULTY ADVISOR - HIGHER ED
The NY Arts program seeks a Part Time Faculty Advisor in Film, Media and Journalism who serves as a teacher-practitioner model to our students. The position is an 11 month (July-May) contract with the possibility to renew.
Part Time Faculty Advisor in Film, Media and Journalism will work with a cohort of students whose interests and experience vary. Although the cohort's interests vary, we are seeking a candidate with professional experience in the film and television industries. As a faculty advisor, the candidate would be involved in: admissions review and acceptance; internship placement and follow-up; teaching and student evaluation/grading. *Teaching consists of eight 2-hour critical thinking seminars in their area of focus and regular one-on-one tutorials.
In addition, the candidate would be required to participate in program orientations, attend program events, faculty meetings and hold office hours. Please note most program events have evening hours.
Requirements:
College level teaching and advising experience is required; MFA or equivalent professional experience; an active practitioner in field; residence in NYC. Ohio Wesleyan is the Managing College for the program awarding credit for participation. Ohio Wesleyan is an equal opportunity employer.
Compensation commensurate with experience.
