Full Time Job
This is a night post coordinator position in the movie marketing industry where we create trailers, teasers and TV commercials. The right candidate will work with the Assistant Editors, and Graphics department, and Producers. You will be responsible for helping manage projects from start to finish in a high-energy environment such that the Producer will remain free to focus on creative advertising.
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Have a thorough understanding of all active jobs and clients
• Ensuring quality communication across departments on all relevant jobs
• Interface with graphics department/submitting graphic requests
• Ability to help assign work to assistant editors, I/O, and/or graphic designers
• Instruct AE's to prep approved/locked spots for finishing.
• QC'ing pieces once ready
• Submit graphic request forms with all pertinent information such as job name, number, editor, producer, finishing details, specs, file reference, etc… to ensure that graphics get created in a timely fashion for the correct editors
• Ensure accurate and on-time posting of revisions and finished spots to client
• Make sure anything finishing in-house meets the company's standard
• Ensure all clients, and Producers are taken care of each evening
• Interface with editorial, music, graphics and AE personnel about relevant issues/requests
• Request fiber line from studio, inform machine room and AE's of fiber line info, client and edit bay
• Make requests and set up runs for asset pickup and delivery
• Proactively coordinate and manage film scripts, transcripts and PA's transcribing feature cuts.
• Post assets/cuts for clients per their requested media-sharing platform, i.e.: via Wiredrive, Pix, RelayIt, Hightail, etc…
• Create and Manage project folders on FTP, Wiredrive, etc…
Qualifications
• Knowledge and love of films, movie trailers and digital AV marketing.
• Some knowledge of and familiarity with marketing terms, editorial, graphic and digital workflow.
• Fast, accurate word processing skills for note taking, emails, requests, etc.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and alone
• Remain calm and levelheaded under pressure
• Ability to prioritize and cope with last minute changes, usually from clients and usually at the end of the day.
Experience
• Minimum 1 year at a Trailer House, Production or Post Facility, Studio Marketing Department or Promo House or comparable in a position with similar responsibilities
• Bachelor's degree in film production or communications preferred
• Advanced skills in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel
• Excellent communication, grammar, punctuation, formatting skills
• Basic Adobe Suite, and non linear editing skills are helpful but not required
