This is a full residential role for a college player or recent graduate who wants to coach at a high level while mentoring campers beyond the court.
Position Overview
This is a full residential role for a college player or recent graduate who wants to coach at a high level while mentoring campers beyond the court
The Tennis Coach is responsible for delivering structured daily instruction to Athletes in Training ages 8 to 17. After tennis programming concludes, you transition into your role as a Bunk Counselor, supervising and mentoring campers in residential life.
You are a coach on court. You are a leader in the cabin.
Key Responsibilities
Tennis Coaching
• Plan and lead daily tennis instruction for beginner through advanced players
• Teach stroke development, footwork, match strategy, and point play
• Run competitive drills and structured match play
• Provide direct, constructive feedback and skill progression plans
• Create a disciplined, focused training environment
• Promote sportsmanship, effort, and respect
Bunk Counselor Responsibilities
• Supervise campers in your assigned cabin during evenings and overnight
• Support daily routines including meals, free time, and evening programs
• Build strong, positive relationships with campers
• Model integrity, accountability, and respect
• Address behavior concerns calmly and professionally
• Communicate with camp leadership regarding camper wellbeing
Qualifications
• Collegiate playing experience preferred
• Strong technical understanding of tennis fundamentals and match play
• Experience working with youth preferred
• Ability to lead with energy and consistency
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to live in a cabin and commit to the full summer, June 22nd - August 8th 2026
Physical Requirements
• Ability to coach outdoors for extended periods
• Ability to remain active throughout a full camp day
• Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
