This is a Full Time Unpaid Internship
The Assistant Broadcast Producer is responsible for running the Hi-Home camera, as well as working closely with the director and the rest of the camera operators to ensure a high quality broadcast.
• Set up the 4 cameras for each home game
• Operate the 'follow the ball' camera, the most important part of of a successful broadcast
• Be the point of contact of the 3-4 camera operators at all 22 home games
• Schedule camera operators for each game
• Troubleshoot technical problems in real time, including helping other operators
• Work closely with the director and producer to ensure an organized production
• Assist the broadcaster with research for pre-game notes and post-game wrap up
• Familiarity with on screen broadcast graphics (i.e. follow the action, know what should be on the screen at a given time)
• Brainstorm new and creative ideas as it relates to broadcast content (i.e. micing players on game day, day in the life of a SwampBat, etc.
• Assist our broadcast engineer with producing and integrating graphics into the broadcast
Skills:
• Strong knowledge of baseball and baseball production
• Live camera experience a plus
• Strong organizational and technical skills
• Technical troubleshooting
• Self starter and a team player
• Ability work in a high stress environment
• Commitment to a professional career path
• Flexible in all situations
• Must be willing to work nontraditional hours - late nights, weekends
Additional Info: This is an on site, full time position and runs from late May - mid August.
