Director of Videography (Internship)
Overview:
The Director of Videography will play an essential role in shaping and enhancing the Sanford Mainers' visual brand through creative and engaging video content. As part of the team's social media and content strategy group, this position focuses on producing high-quality video that captures the energy, personality, and excitement of Mainers baseball-both on and off the field.
Responsibilities:
• Capture compelling video footage during home and away games (44 games total, plus any additional playoff games - maximum 9 games), including game action, player interactions, fan engagement, and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Attend and record community and promotional events hosted by the Sanford Mainers.
• Collaborate with the Director of Photography & Creative on producing short-form and long-form video content for use across social media platforms and in marketing materials.
• Work closely with the Director of Broadcasting & Media to provide footage and highlight content for game recaps, interviews, and league coverage.
• Edit and deliver engaging, timely video content during and after games, optimizing for each platform's audience and format.
• Organize, catalog, and maintain the video archive to ensure accessible and efficient use of all captured media.
• Proactively contribute creative ideas to elevate the visual storytelling of the Sanford Mainers brand.
Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience filming and editing live sports or fast-paced events.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software (Adobe Suite preferred).
• Ability to produce and edit content under tight deadlines and in dynamic environments.
• Must have personal video equipment capable of capturing in 1080p/60fps or higher.
• Possession of a 75–300mm lens (70–200mm preferred) or similar equipment suitable for sports videography.
• Tripod and/or monopod strongly encouraged.
• Strong creative vision, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to game-day conditions.
• Positive attitude, teamwork, and strong communication skills.
• Must be available between June 1 and August 15 (dates may be flexible based on team schedule).
