Intern - Graphics Operator for Livestream
New England Collegiate Baseball League
Danbury, CTThis is a Full Time Unpaid Internship
Working closely with the Westerners Technical Advisor, Director, Broadcaster, Sideline Reporter and Camera Operators, and the visiting team broadcaster, the Graphics Operator works on the livestream of Westerner home games on ESPN or The NECBL Network. The Graphics Operator manages, updates, and pushes various graphics to the broadcast feed. This includes scorebugs, breakboards, batter lower thirds, pitcher slates, batting orders, defensive alignments, and more. The Graphics Operator is in part responsible for keeping the Westerner livestream among the most professional in the NECBL.
There is mandatory pre-season training in the broadcast software and use of the Westerner equipment.
This is a very demanding job that requires unbroken concentration from before the pre-game show starts until the post-game wrap-up is completed. The ideal candidate will have experience managing Newblue Captivate Sports or similar graphics software, work well under pressure, be able to read and understand baseball scoring and statistics, work well with people and be critical of their work with a desire to improve over the course of the season.
