Fall Paid Intern - Broadcasting

Internship Information:
• Opportunity to Earn College Credit (dependent on school approval)
• Access to professional-level baseball operations and media production
• Ability to broadcast to numerous networks (HUDL, ESPN , and Unbeaten Sports)
• Networking opportunities with NECBL coaches, players, and league officials
Responsibilities:
• Serve as play-by-play broadcaster for all home and away broadcasts throughout the NECBL season
• Create comprehensive game notes, storylines, and talking points to enhance each live stream
• Provide insightful analysis and color commentary during broadcasts
• Assist in the setup and teardown of all broadcast equipment
• Collaborate with home and visiting production crews to ensure high-quality broadcasts
• Host a weekly podcast featuring players, coaches, and front office staff
• Coordinate with the social media and media relations team to promote broadcasts and key storylines
• Contribute to recaps and media releases as needed for the team website
• Support the Director of Broadcasting with additional tasks
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in a Communications, Journalism, Sports Media, or related major
• Strong on-air presence with the ability to engage audiences across various platforms
• Willingness and flexibility to attend online pre-season NECBL meetings and league training sessions
• Leadership qualities with the ability to collaborate and guide others in a professional environment
• Demonstrated self-motivation, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to problem-solve quickly and remain calm under pressure
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Baseball knowledge or prior broadcasting experience strongly preferred

The Upper Valley Nighthawks are a collegiate summer baseball team based in White River Junction, Vermont, competing in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). Founded in 2016, the Nighthawks are recognized for their competitive baseball, community involvement, and professional development opportunities for players and staff. Each summer, the team offers a hands-on, growth-focused experience in a fun and fast-paced sports environment.
