THE ROLE:
We're looking for an Animation Production Executive who embodies passion for the Kids Series space and Animation as whole.
The job responsibilities would include overseeing key areas of Production and aid in establishing a in-house production with outsourced animation production.
The Netflix Animation space is to welcome and inspire creativity and collaboration. The role would extend into the intricacies of production. You will responsible for creating and articulating the long term production, technical and cultural strategy for each project, working alongside the Creatives teams while ensuring that the creative vision is met along with other goals and within the schedule and budget. The position would also be an ambassador for ensuring open show communication and collaboration between all departments to maximize the full potential of the production.

SKILL SETS:
• Moving projects from Development phase from early development through series into Production - responsible for getting and moving inventory in the pipeline. Creates an alternative plan when changes occur. Assesses productivity and makes recommendations with creative leadership when encountering roadblocks or gaps in inventory.
• Budget, Bidding, Complexity - responsible for overall budget strategy and management while maintaining creative vision and goals; initiates bidding for complexity management and discussion process for cross departmental brainstorming and balancing to resolve complexity issues, and tracks any potential budget/schedule exposures.
• Production Schedule - Creation and updating of a master schedule for any project (Excel doc) inclusive of all departments, list of artists involved across all departments and production staff, with breakdown of work/sequences in man weeks.
• Communication - solicits opinions, ensures open and effective communication across production and creates an atmosphere and environment for all to feel comfortable to express their opinions. Responsible for regular check-ins with show leadership to discuss challenges, acknowledge successes and discuss morale issues.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 10 years within Animation Production, either freelance or studio-based.
• Keen understanding of current animation workflows
• Knowledge of the current market of animation production tools
• Experience with new technology development processes
• Strong ability to dive into the unknown and create clarity.
• Sharp assessment skills with an ability to vet wants vs. needs.
• Comfortable with running lean.
• Flexible amid an ever-changing and growing environment.
