The Role
The Screening Asset Specialist is a role within the Screenings team responsible for the creation of the media that plays at premieres, festivals, comic-cons, and other external Netflix screenings. They work closely with Post Production, Title Ops, Globalization, and Screenings Leads to ensure the highest quality assets are created.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of digital cinema packages, media creation, and post production workflows. They will be able to communicate technical information to both a technical and non-technical audience.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Creation of Screening Assets including but not limited to: DCPs, Media Files (h264 and Apple ProRes), DVDs/BDs, viewing links, and more.
• Working closely with Screenings and Post teams to anticipate asset needs in advance of incoming screening requests
• Familiarizing themselves with their assigned titles to anticipate potential issues (aspect ratios, forced narratives)
• Familiarizing themselves with the associated Publicity, Awards, and Event campaigns of their associated titles to better anticipate and prioritize their workload
• Building and tracking asset delivery timelines to ensure assets are completed in advance of relevant campaign dates and incoming screening requests
• Qualitative review of the created files to ensure they are correct and meet the creation spec.
• Troubleshooting file based delivery and creation issues in a quick and constructive manner.
• Availability to troubleshoot issues on nights and weekends as needed
Qualifications:
• College degree preferred or additional production certificate programs
• 5 years of experience within medium to high budget studios, networks or media services company
• Ability to handle a heavy volume of work, supervising several projects in tandem
• Strong organizational skills with a proactive mentality
• Creative problem-solving abilities
• Strong working knowledge of digital cinema (DCPs, KDMs/DKDMs, theatrical aspect ratioes)
• Knowledge of digital audio and video file formats and creation software (Resolve, FCP, Avid, Adobe)
• Knowledge of Post Production Imaging (Color Space, DI, P3 vs Rec709) and Sound Workflows (Nearfield and Theatrical mixes)
• Highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented
• Ability to respond and prioritize after hours for important, timely, or urgent matters
• A desire to learn and personally grow within the digital Post industry
• Team-player who thrives in a fast paced, team-oriented setting

• Native or business proficiency in English
