Netflix is seeking a Program Specialist, Hospitality (Venue Management Operations) to join our UCAN Hospitality dream team. This role will report into the UCAN Hospitality Manager- Venue Management Operations and will facilitate a variety of onsite events including but not limited to meetings, meetups, employee/team happy hours, screenings, promotional shoots, and internal catering requests for the East Coast Region (Toronto, New York, and Washington, D.C.) This role requires an individual with a background in event coordination and a proven track record of building strong cross-functional partnerships.

Responsibilities:
• Influence a team of Venue Management technicians and porters to success by providing on-going support, training, and leadership on a daily basis
• Demonstrate positive leadership and training characteristics, which inspire colleagues to exceed expectations
• Distribute and assign Venue Management tickets to team members based on schedule, work-load, and event needs
• Provide the highest level of customer service to all colleagues, vendors, and guests
• Partner with the Corporate Events and Regional Publicity teams to ensure their on-site events are supported and successful. High profile events include: Company Meeting and Townhalls, Executive Team Dinners, Take Your Kids To Work Day, ERG Tentpole Events, Press Junkets, Promotional Film and Photo Shoots
• Communicate and collaborate with all third party event agencies and vendors to produce a turn key experience while factoring in the daily building needs and functions
• Collaborate with colleagues to identify their event venue needs and to ensure flawless execution from the Workplace team and being the primary workplace point of contact throughout the process
• Responsible for communicating Workplace event best practices with colleagues
• Work cross-functionally with multiple teams including Reception, Operations, Janitorial, Audio Visual, Security, and Food and Beverage to provide excellent service
• In-depth knowledge of all property and building capabilities for events & lease restrictions and liaison with property management to ensure contractual fulfillment adherence
• Produce weekly events communications to property management, reception, building management and security to anticipate the needs for upcoming events
• Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging challenges on the event day
• Assist in large team projects and own small projects as needed within the overall workplace
• Research event industry and identify opportunities for innovation and creativity
• Develop process improvements to enhance the day to day operations and efficient service changes that add value to the program
Requirements:
• 5 years of event coordination/3 years in event venue management experience at a large scale venue, preferably in hospitality or media/entertainment industry
• Exceptional administrative & project management experience and strong communication skills
• A good understanding of workplace building operations/facilities management
• Ability to work across various levels of the organization while building trust and fostering collaboration
• A desire to be hands-on, not afraid to roll up your sleeves
• Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
• Ability to think strategically, multi-task and lead several events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on event needs; evenings and sometimes weekends
• Excellent customer service and with the ability to proactively address and anticipate event stakeholders' needs
• The desire to consistently enhance and innovate onsite events, bringing new ideas to the table – both strategic and areas of execution
• Excellent eye for detail, organized, thorough and a creative thinker and problem solver
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and constant change

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $50,000 - $380,000.
