The Role
The Product Merchandising organization delivers intuitive merchandising and local expertise to make it easy and enjoyable for our members to find and choose what to watch now, and next.
To improve how we accomplish this, we consistently investigate and evaluate our work. Performance within Title Distribution & Promotion defines how we understand and tell a title's promotional story, and which metrics, dashboards, visuals, and materials are needed to do so at scale. This work establishes the key insights and quantitative strategies to track title distributional analytics, define title promotion dashboards and experimentation requirements, and prioritize and lead key analyses that move our understanding forward.
The Performance Associate role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Title Distribution and Performance self-service tooling, as well as driving custom global analyses to understand title promotion, product behavior, and merchandising activations.
Success in this role requires a mastery of distribution metrics and concepts, an innovative mindset, and a collaborative spirit. You should be comfortable at the intersection of data and creativity, and thrive at translating information (data, facts) into understanding (stories and take-aways).
In this role you will be responsible for:
• Managing the requirements and work with the performance lead on the long-term roadmaps for our internal and stakeholder-facing title promotional dashboard and drive execution in partnership with data science teams.
• Collaborating with local and functional teams on incorporating their input and feedback on the self-service tooling for Product Merchandising teams.
• Collaborating with local and functional analysts to provide insights regarding promotional activities for titles, member behavior on the product, and the effectiveness of merchandising strategies.
• Developing experimentation frameworks for the merchandising teams on new transformational ideas.
• Serving as a subject matter expert and a primary point of contact for promotional data, supporting core merchandising teams. This role will also support as a connector and liaison across different regions.
Qualifications [including specific skills, years of experience, etc]:
• 3-5 years of experience in analytical and insight roles, ideally in Product or Content teams
• Demonstrated experience with storytelling skills, especially with data analysis (visual slides, memos, synthesizing quantitative and qualitative insights)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience with developing roadmaps and executing plans on self-service tools
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently
• Genuine interest and curiosity in Netflix's business, product, content and the entertainment industry
• Bachelor's degree required
• Initial experience with SQL is preferred
Salary/Benefits
$200,000 - $300,000 /year USD
The range for this role is $200,000.00 - $300,000.00.
