Manager, Production Finance - Licensed Originals

The Manager of Licensed Production Finance will be instrumental in implementing the production finance goals for licensed originals content. The goals include reviewing production budgets and partnering with the senior creative, business and production team leaders to ensure the investment has been well vetted and is supported by a clear creative vision and an executable production plan.
Responsibilities:
• Review production budgets, cost reports, trial balances and 3rd party license agreements prepared by Studios, producing partners and show accountants for our licensed original series
• Keep abreast of current and changing industry trends, evolving technologies, production incentives and changes in crew capacity and infrastructure support in the main worldwide production centers
• Work with 3rd party studios to drive accurate, complete and timely cost reporting
• Identify problem areas as quickly as possible including potential overages and underages
• Update internal systems and databases to calculate the maximum potential exposure to the company on licensed products
• Liaise with groups such as Business Affairs, Production, Creative, Corporate Accounting
• Cost analysis
• Ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements:
• Strong attention to detail
• Candidates must have 10 years in scripted/unscripted television production finance
• Broad understanding of production incentives
• Solid understanding of payroll process, union labor agreements and tax requirements
• Experience with Movie Magic Budgeting
• Solution focused
• Ability to understand and articulate issues using creative, production or financial context
• Candidate is required to be highly analytical and be a strong and effective communicator
• You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics
• Candidate must be self-motivated, disciplined, flexible, highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
• Candidate must be both team oriented but also able to work effectively autonomously
