About the Role
This role is part of the Talent Experience & Operations (TEO) team which designs and runs the infrastructure to deliver an outstanding talent experience from candidacy to onboarding and beyond. The Contingent Talent team under TEO is focused on building out a Risk & Compliance program. Contingent Talent is responsible for managing the company's non-employee workforce from sourcing, onboarding, management, and offboarding.
The Manager, Operational Risk & Compliance role will review and recommend internal processes, and advise internal stakeholders and business partners on risk and compliance. This entails developing risk management strategies, coordinating the creation, review, and implementation of policies and procedures, and applying compliance requirements globally.
The ideal candidate will have experience balancing employment legal matters and business operations and will be capable of developing and implementing scalable solutions to ensure the highest level of compliance and risk management. The Manager, Operational Risk & Compliance will:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive risk and compliance framework and current state assessment that addresses legal, regulatory, and operational requirements in the professional services outsourcing space
• Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes and controls to (1) ensure adherence to laws and regulations, including but not limited to employment, data privacy, and financial regulations; and (2) ensure company readiness to operational disruptions (eg business continuity planning)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks related to business operations, service delivery, and client engagements
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with regulatory authorities, industry groups, and other relevant stakeholders
• Monitor and analyze regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure the company remains proactive in its approach to risk and compliance management
• Provide guidance and support to senior leadership on risk and compliance matters, ensuring alignment with company strategy and objectives
• Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, managing and coordinating responses and corrective actions as necessary
We want someone who is:
• Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree (JD, MBA, or equivalent) preferred
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in risk and compliance, with at least 5 years in the professional services outsourcing industry. Equivalent experience in consulting applied to these domains would preferred, but not required
• Strong knowledge of employment law, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices related to professional services outsourcing at a global scale
• Proven track record of developing and implementing risk and compliance programs at scale and globally (e.g. with knowledge of regional/country nuances in major BPO destinations)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including building narratives that ''stick'' and simplifying the complex
• Deep experience in collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess risks, develop effective mitigation strategies
• High degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical decision-making
• A motivated self-starter, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing business needs, multiple priorities and deadlines

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $195,000 - $510,000.
