Netflix seeks a Manager, Business Affairs, Original Series to join the fast growing team based in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside the existing Director of Business Affairs and Manager of Business Affairs on a wide range of projects and initiatives in the UK spanning development, commissioning, production and exploitation of English language Original Series content on Netflix, with a primary focus on the UK market. The role entails dealing with all Business Affairs matters that arise throughout development, production and exploitation and will involve collaborating with internal cross-functional teams as well as working with the UK production and agent community. This is an opportunity to be part of a first class team within a public company with a great consumer brand throughout the world.
Requirements
• Between 4-7 years of legal and business affairs experience in a UK media law firm or television production company/broadcaster environment
• Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably on multiple projects under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical capabilities and judgment
• Willingness to tackle matters outside area of expertise
• Comfortable counseling business partners and making decisions that have business and industry wide impact
• Adept at developing and fostering relationships with the production and agent community in the UK (and preferably also the US)
• Strong working knowledge of the UK television landscape and industry norms;
• Ability to respond positively to change and adapt to innovative ways of working
• Basic understanding of US TV landscape and above the line deal structures
• Ability to embrace and advocate for cultural diversity
It is preferred that the ideal candidate is legally qualified in the UK.
