Manager, Awards EMEA
We are looking to fill a role on our team for a manager of film and series awards. They will be an experienced publicist who has worked in London and/or Europe for 10 years, someone who enjoys aiding in and executing awards campaigns for our films and series. This is a very hands on role, one where we want you to throw the playbook out the window, and push to innovate with us.
The Role
The Manager for Awards will play a key role in aiding and managing the global awards piece outside North America for our film and series teams, an important facet of our business. They are a member of a small, seasoned group of professionals. The opportunity extends into film award and TV award campaigns -- with work ranging from planning and timelining screening events; coordinating with the Academy of British Academy of Film And Television, Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and other guild and industry associations; helping with submission paperwork for different awards; purchasing seats and tables for events, and helping manage guest lists for events. They will be able to communicate with showrunners, filmmakers, talent representatives, agencies, executives and production partners on efforts. They can formulate and manage a budget, and give visibility into their process successfully. They will also have a knowledge of the UK entertainment business.
Are able to make wise decisions, even when faced with ambiguity and thinks strategically. They can articulate what they are - and are not - trying to do. Is a good listener and a real doer. They are organized, thorough and not afraid to get their hands dirty - and that will mean jumping in to handle a wide-ranging slew of tasks. Strong candidates can handle a vast amount of work and they are eager to learn. They are curious and also contribute effectively outside of their speciality. A good fit in the role has a candid and direct communication style, they are willing to admit to mistakes quickly and question values inconsistent with our values.
Qualifications
The successful candidate for Manager, Awards will have at least 10 years of entertainment experience organizing, planning, executing awards campaigns, with an agency, studio or broadcaster. Their experience will include tastemaker events, screening series, big membership events. They will have experience working in the awards space on submission paperwork. BA/BSC required.
Reporting Relationship
The Manager, Awards reports will report to the Director, Awards EMEA.
