Netflix seeks a passionate legal operations specialist to oversee the day to day administration of eBilling processes and systems. You will play a central role in creating new legal matters, coordinating with and onboarding legal vendors, addressing internal and external invoice inquiries and related analysis and reporting. You will be an active member and contributor to a new and growing Operations team, supporting other team members on projects when needed. Job Responsibilities
Matter Creation & Management
• Consult with internal/external stakeholders regarding new matter formation
• Create matters in eBilling system (Legal Tracker)
• Coordinate historical matter audit and migration to updated structure
• Address ongoing matter changes and account for downstream impact
• Develop matter specific reports and dashboards
• Assist with the creation of matter budgets and related enforcement
• Manage projects related to Legal matter development
Invoice Review & Guideline Development
• Research and respond to internal/external invoice status inquiries
• Perform Level 2 invoice review for guideline compliance
• Coordinate with Accounting and Finance partners to help ensure timely payment of legal expenses
• Identify opportunities for enhancing/automating workflows
• Liaise with outside counsel counterparts, particularly at year-end
• Identify additional outside counsel guidelines that may benefit the department and oversee related education, implementation and enforcement
Vendor Management
• Monitor engagements with new legal vendors
• Coordinate onboarding to internal vendor and matter management systems
• Review engagement letters and confirm related details (e.g. currencies, entities, contacts, etc.)
• Assist with timekeeper rate analytics and recurring discount audits
• Respond to ad-hoc requests
• Identify opportunities for outsourcing repetitive administrative tasks
Experience
• 5-7 years experience in corporate legal eBilling or operations function or law firm equivalent (pricing, analytics, project management, etc.)
• Experienced in Google (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) preferred or Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to communicate your insights clearly, both in writing and verbally, to a diverse audience, accounting for varying subject matter backgrounds
• Highly analytical and mastery of advanced data functions (pivots, vlooks, formulas, etc.)
• Comfort with synthesizing large data sets, sourced from differing systems
• Experience with eBilling systems (e.g. Legal Tracker, SimpleLegal, Tymetrix, etc.)
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance and other business units
• Understanding of law firm business tools (e.g. Elite, Aderant) a plus
• Ability to parse and interpret legal Ledes files
