About The Role
The Marketing Partnerships Creative team collaborates with external brands and agency/production partners as well as internal cross-functional teams to create compelling campaigns, activations, sponsorships, and other innovative solutions. The team consists of (3) disciplines: Brand Strategy, Creative, and Creative Production. This team is tasked with ensuring partnership programs are rooted in a compelling strategy, crafted at the highest quality, and executed flawlessly. We are seeking a creative designer with strong experience working with brands from various categories. You will own the presentation of our brand for major partnerships with global/regional brands as well as top creative/media/partnership agencies, across a variety of product categories in support of Netflix's content releases and its platform. You'll work with the Brand Partnerships team to develop pitches and visual execution for partner programs that will help us to deepen consumer engagement and awareness of our original content around launch. This role will be part of the team establishing the creative output of our emerging integrated marketing and sponsorship offerings which are new to Netflix and come on the back of our Ad-supported tier and our increasing ventures into live entertainment.
All candidates should demonstrate their deep experience and passion for creative advertising. This new role presents a huge opportunity to be at the forefront of a new Netflix offering, one that not only continues to prove how Netflix is the most innovative entertainment company in the world, but also helps to deliver and grow an important new revenue stream for the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Experienced creative professional (7 years) who can lead end-to-end creative development, design and creative execution of various sales and partnership materials and mediums.
• Functioning as a holistic 'creative director' (messaging, copy and design), the candidate will need to be a hands-on designer with a deep track record in visual design and art direction across a variety of mediums including digital, video, and print.
• Leveraging the Netflix brand design principles, function as a steward and execute the design strategy including visual identity, sales collateral, website design, experiential, and other marketing materials.
• Adhere to, help evolve & refine visual guidelines and creative standards to ensure the Ads marketing and sales teams show up consistently and effectively.
• Manage and mentor external agencies and contracted art directors, copywriters, designers, and video editors, including setting priorities, assigning responsibilities/deliverables, and providing guidance to help them achieve their best work.
• Collaborate with internal partners across sales, marketing, product, and beyond to shape the strategy, ideation and creative execution across a wide range of work.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure that design is aligned with the company's vision and business goals.
• Interpret and integrate feedback to advance the work while extracting meaningful input from stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with design trends and best practices, translate findings to inform and inspire the work, and provide thought leadership on design-related issues.
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality standards to ensure that all design work is of the highest quality, and meets the needs of our Ads teams and the business at large.
• Oversee the development of a wide range of creative assets from initial conception through to execution, including presentations, video and motion assets, print deliverables, and activations/events.
• Find and develop working relationships with new creative vendors and collaborators, as well as strengthening existing partnerships.
• Work in close partnership with our Creative Production team to ensure that creative work is completed on time and within budget.
• Identify and implement process improvements to meet project and team needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 7 years of experience in the design field
• Strong portfolio of work that demonstrates expertise in graphic design, presentation design, sales collateral, and environmental design
• Experience developing brand identities and branding/creative guidelines.
• Experience and understanding in creative sales enablement
• Excellent management skills, with the ability to inspire cross-functional and external partners.
• Strong communication and storytelling capabilities
• Possess the ability to articulate design concepts and strategies to cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Strong network of freelance collaborators.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Expertise in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• Can flourish in our unique company culture.
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.
