Intern - Design Technology Experience Design

This is a Part Time Paid Internship

Paid Internship, 40 hrs/week for 12 weeks over the summer of 2023

The Design Technology XD team is looking for an intern on the team who can help us continue to make progress on Netflix's mission to entertain the world.

About the Design Technology XD team

Our team's purpose is to deepen the technical proficiencies of the Product Design organization. We do this by working on design projects where writing coded prototypes will unblock, up-level, or expedite product innovation ideas, and by building design tooling & infrastructure that make the process of designing at Netflix more efficient.

About the role

This internship is an opportunity to learn from and contribute to the product innovation process at the world's leading streaming entertainment company. You will be partnering with other Design Technologists, as well as Product Designers, Software Engineers, Researchers, and Product Managers to envision and design a product feature that will make the Netflix of tomorrow better than the version we have today. You will walk away from this program with:

About you

You have a creative, 'maker' mindset and are curious to develop your skills and understanding of Interaction Design and the product development lifecycle. You are passionate about building tools that help to make your colleagues' efforts more efficient and impactful.

You possess solid foundational engineering skills, and are passionate about expanding these skills. You have an intense curiosity that compels you to try new technologies, build for new platforms and solve new technical problems.

You thrive on collaboration. You're inclusive in your engagement with your team and cross-functional partners. You have low ego, and you welcome honest, open feedback as easily as you give it.

The Summer Internship

We match qualified interns with projects and groups based on interests and skill sets, and fully embed interns within those groups for the summer. Internships will be a minimum of 12 weeks, with timing flexible to candidate needs. Conditions permitting, our summer internships will be located in our Los Gatos, CA office, or in our Los Angeles, CA office, depending on the team.

The overall market range for Netflix Internships is typically $40/hour - $110/hour.
