The Role:
The Coordinator, Entertainment Communications - Nonfiction is a key contributor on the team responsible for promoting and protecting.
The ideal candidate has a passion for entertainment and business, and vast curiosity about how companies tell stories.
In addition to supporting the team in defining the narrative, this role will work on keeping the overall team and department organized and buttoned up – from announcement trackers and calendars, press coverage tracking and reporting, researching and maintaining press lists, drafting written materials and pitches, events support and other projects as needed.
This role is based out of the Los Angeles office and reports to the Director, Communications.
They will be a collaborative team player, self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, flexible and can juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and attention to detail.
This is a demanding and fast-moving position that requires someone who has a positive attitude, takes initiative, effectively prioritizes work and demonstrates strong and clear communication skills.
Responsibilities: Tasks are timely and varied. They include but are not limited to -
• Updating existing corporate documents and creating new ones that elevate our work.
• Maintaining departmental files including news announcement calendar, press inquiry tracker, project calendar, fast facts and executive biographies.
• Drafting announcements, briefing materials, and messaging documents, and corresponding with internal and external partners.
• Compiling coverage reports and campaign recaps.
• Assisting with meeting schedules and facilitation, including help putting together presentations, coordinating audiovisual needs, and arranging photo shoots.
• Tracking team budget, maintaining alignment with finance partners.
• Brainstorming media pitches, researching press contacts and staying up to date on entertainment landscape and trends.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of communications-related professional experience in a studio, network, agency, brand, or similar organization.
• Passion about the evolving entertainment landscape with a strong working knowledge of social platforms and trends.
• A clear and concise communication style and can effectively convey complex ideas written and verbally.
Ideally, you've practiced developing pitches, press-facing materials and/or social content in a professional setting.
• Meticulous organizational skills, good judgment in the face of ambiguity, a superpower for multitasking.
• A proactive and positive approach, and will embody our company values every day.
