The focus for the Partner Outreach team is to proactively engage and support the post-production community and partner-managed programs through marketing, advocacy, events and training. By educating the post-production and VFX industry on roles, workflows, technical requirements, and best practices, Netflix drives new industry standards and provides direct support to original content creation. Our team goals are educating, building advocacy, enhancing partner relations, and engaging the below-the-line community.
As part of the Partner Outreach group, you will be responsible for :
Event Planning:
• Conduct vendor research & contract execution for global events
• Assist with travel requirements (room blocks, car service, etc.)
• Manage calendars, invite lists, correspondence and RSVP's for events and meetings
• Manage documentation for events in concert with event engagement leads
• Schedule run-throughs, practice sessions, and meetings, ensuring that stakeholders remain on schedule
• Work with vendors and other internal facilities to coordinate logistics for events (food/beverage, AV, room/space booking, shipping, couriers, photographers/videographers, etc.)
• Assist with event recaps (photos, event description, attendee count, impact, etc.)
Training & Advocacy:
• Research industry organizations and guilds to aid in developing advocacy globally
• Support global advocacy engagement for below-the-line talent and crew
• Maintain internal databases and trackers for events, partners, and advocacy programs
• Develop database of training partners
• Organize and optimize all training materials for internal use
General Tasks:
• Assist colleagues with research, documentation, and logistics on their projects
• Manage gifting for external talent and partners, working with swag vendor
• Research tools, automation, and feature enhancements to improve team workflows
• Aid in the creation of slide presentations for meetings and events
• Work with Post Production Finance teams to facilitate vendor setup, PO & invoice creation, budget, reconciliation, etc.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of experience aiding teams with events, marketing, and advocacy
• Strong organizational skills with an acutely detail-oriented approach
• An adept problem-solver who can anticipate issues and change course when needed to yield a successful outcome
• Ability to multi-task and pivot while working on varying degrees of deadlines and scope
• Substantial cross-functional communication experience
• Time management and negotiation skills
• Experience planning events
• Proficiency in collaboration, productivity and project management tools such as the G Suite, Splash, Asana, AirTable, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Knowledge of post production workflows, sound and imaging technology, and production practices a plus
• Experience working with creative talent, technology/AV specialists a plus
• Understanding of Film Festivals and/or Industry Awards a plus
About You
You have spent a few years aiding teams in event planning, marketing, advocacy, data collection, and presentation-building. You are extremely detail-oriented and have experience seamlessly facilitating internal communications among different departments.. You are proficient in project management tools and have a strong ability to multi-task and pivot quickly when needed. You are a person of action who's not afraid to jump into a new project, ask lots of questions, and help see it through to the end. In short, you are a helpful, curious team-player able to work independently and comfortable with change and new challenges.
