Coordinator, Contingent Compensation (Royalties)

We are looking for a Coordinator to join our Contingent Compensation team based in Los Angeles. The Contingent Compensation team handles royalties, revenue sharing, and profit participation related to the exploitation of our content and related rights including merchandise, music, and games.
This role will support all areas of Contingent Compensation. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and passionate about learning content distribution finance. Experience reading/interpreting contracts and an eye for workflow improvement will also be key to success in this role. As the Coordinator, you will work cross-functionally to share data, improve the way we work, and provide external facing support to our talent and partners.
Responsibilities:
• Identifying royalty, revenue share, and profit participation obligations based on contractual agreements. Onboard payees and distribute statements/payments.
• Tracking team deadlines. Prepare reports and presentations. Monitor KPIs and perform ad-hoc analyses on the data you have collected.
• Supporting the implementation of contract management tools and workflow. Familiarity with tech like Evisort, Google Scripts, and Airtable is a plus.
• Fielding internal and external inquiries from partners and talent. Communicating clearly and effectively managing relationships.
• Participating in efforts to innovate and improve Contingent Compensation processes including system development and automation conversations.
Qualifications:
• BA/BS required; Legal/Paralegal education or experience is a plus.
• 1-5 years related work experience.
• Experience with contract management, reading and interpreting legal agreements.
• Excellent verbal and written communicator who can build strong working relationships with a diverse group of cross-functional business partners.
• Self-motivated, quick-thinking and adaptable to change. You must have the ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight time-frames in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to take on challenges outside of your area of expertise.
• Understand, advocate, and embody the company's values and team goals.
