Netflix, the world's leading Internet-television network, is recruiting a policy coordinator to join its growing public policy team. The focus of this role is to support the Content & Marketing Policy team within the Public Policy group in all its activities and help coordinate and execute on ongoing projects as well as act as a point of contact with other internal teams as well as external stakeholders. As part of this team, you will be immersed in the unique content for which Netflix is known and support various partners to deliver personal joy across cultures. You will support the team that is developing guidelines surrounding sensitive content, evaluating the intersection of entertainment and political and social standards and supporting our creative partners to successfully launch many of our high-profile titles. We are looking for someone who thinks creatively, develops solutions and is eager to learn.
This role will include:
• Coordinating work within the Content & Marketing Policy team
• Project organisation and management
• Leading research projects to classify and understand content in context of cultural sensibilities
• Collecting and analyzing information about current and completed projects
• Acting as point of contact for other teams (content, communications, marketing, legal etc.) to gather information to support the policy team
• Creating and coordinating diverse databases
• Tracking projects across all content verticals from concept to post-launch.
The successful candidate will at a minimum:
• Bachelor political science, legal or similar area
• Have a strong understanding/interest in global content
• Have at least 2 years' professional experience
• Be passionate, self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible, able to pivot when necessary
• Be thorough and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization
• Have experience in managing multiple projects on tight deadlines
• Comfortable with research and analysis across heavy-volume areas
A plus:
• Fluent in oral/written language other than English
• Have a good knowledge of the media & entertainment sector
