Netflix seeks an experienced coordinator to join the Below The Line Production Legal team based in our Los Angeles office to focus on day-to-day production matters related to Netflix Original Content productions. The successful candidate will have prior experience in entertainment, preferably in a legal or production office setting. S/he will be highly-organized, self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, and able to juggle multiple responsibilities on a large portfolio of Netflix's Original Content productions. Responsibilities
include:
• Reviewing and analyzing third party production agreements (e.g., vendor agreements, equipment rental agreements, aviation & drone rental agreements, watercraft agreements; location agreements).
• Drafting and creating template agreements as necessary for below the line production legal related issues (e.g., locations, equipment, vendors, etc.).
• Support the teams Managers and Associates regarding day-to-day legal issues during prep, principal and post-production on Netflix's Original Content productions.
• Increasing the operational efficiency between the business/legal teams and other internal departments (e.g. physical production, post production, visual effects).
• Working cross functionally with Netflix's various internal partners including the Production, Business, Finance, Risk Management and Tax teams to maintain alignment and facilitate communication between departments.
• Maintaining flexibility and openness to take on additional projects as necessary.
Requirements:
• An undergraduate degree and experience in television or film production (e.g. unit production manager, production coordinator, location manager).
• Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably on multiple projects under tight timeframes in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively cross-functionally, think practically and be solution-oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Tech-savvy, including proficiency with Google Suite and cloud-based document and database systems.
• Good judgment and strong critical thinking skills.
• Ability to respond positively to change and be respective of new ideas.
• High level of organization, detail orientation and ability to time-manage across multiple deadlines.
• Willingness to tackle matters outside area of expertise.
• Ability to embrace and advocate for cultural diversity.
