This is a Full Time Job
The Content Marketing Director will report to the Vice President of Marketing - APAC and will partner with the Singapore based APAC team to facilitate creative campaign development with the global Originals creative team (which is based in Hollywood). As the only dedicated APAC team based in the US, this role is critical to ensure the strategy, creative views and local market requirements are represented in global campaign discussions. This role is equal parts regional entertainment marketing expertise and operational execution.
We would love to hear from people who are passionate about TV/film and with experience in marketing entertainment content. A history of work either in APAC or with APAC subsidiaries out of a global team will also be important markers for a successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
• APAC leadership - You'll be a part of the APAC marketing and communications leadership team which will shape the region strategies and tactics.
• Global content strategy in APAC - Your team will be the voice of APAC in the Netflix Hollywood office. You'll work closely with the global content teams to identify key content for the region out of the global content groups and creative needs to launch big campaigns. In short, your team leads the conversation on working with our global content counterparts.
• Regional Marketing planning and strategy - You will work with APAC Marketing leads to develop a regular title prioritization and planning cadence.
• Creative marketing development - Your team will represent APAC needs in the creative development process for global titles that are important to the region.
• Pan-APAC deals & opportunities (includes pushing partners like Google) and raise opportunities for innovative bespoke creative assets with Originals marketing team.
• Localization and adaptation of campaigns - you will oversee the localization and adaptation of global campaign materials (i.e. video, digital assets, etc) to APAC needs.
• Work cross functionally with peers in PR, Social Media, Publicity, Business Development to assure focus areas are aligned on strategy and execution.
Qualifications:
• Natural team leadership skills with the ability to conceptualize and articulate a marketing strategy on a consistent basis.
• Experience and passion for building great marketing programs and product launches preferably in the entertainment marketing space.
• An ability to effectively provide input on creative development from a local and regional market perspective.
• Experience managing highly motivated direct reports in an environment that embraces individual momentum rather than process driven group thinking.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in AB testing methodologies.
• Strong level of independence and efficiency - great communication and interpersonal skills.
• At least 10 years experience in a marketing role.
• Experience working with or in APAC region.
• Bachelor's degree and an advanced degree preferred.
