The Role
The Associate of Production Finance with a focus on Latin America and Spain will be part of our International Originals team based in the Hollywood office. This role will support Production Finance Managers and cross-functional teams protecting company financial exposure through production oversight and controls.
The Responsibilities:
• Work effectively and decisively within the Netflix International Originals team to coordinate with third party production companies who are producing local content for Netflix
• Assist with timely and complete budget and cost report tracking, provide commentary on submitted reports throughout the life-cycle of a production
• Create and circulate budget top sheets for approval
• Coordinate the implementation of production finance best practices with our international 3rd party production partners
• Process and track fundings for production service companies, process ATL payroll payments
• Update production finance information in Netflix systems
• Map cost reports to Netflix chart of accounts
• Onboard 3rd party production accounting teams
• Coordinate production data feeds with domestic and international accounting softwares
• Cost report and budget comparisons and analysis
• Liaise with internal Netflix teams to articulate territory specific knowledge and findings; teams such as Netflix HR, Labor Relations, Content Accounting, Internal Audit, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Treasury, IT.
• Research, develop and test new technologies that provide the next generation of production finance tools
• Ad hoc projects as needed
Experience:
• Candidates must have 2-3 years in scripted production or studio exposure
• Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Must display a high level of intellectual curiosity with a focus on generating results
• Must exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics
• Must be self-motivated, disciplined, highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
• High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving and analysis utilizing financial applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Movie Magic Budgeting and production accounting system preferred
• College degree in accounting or finance is preferred
• Fluency in English and Spanish required
