We're seeking a seasoned finance executive to join our Production Finance team. This position is based in our Mexico City offices.
Responsibilities:
• Finance Executive that is a strategic partner working closely and collaboratively with Netflix teams, including our cross-functional teams, Legal, Tax, Content Planning, and Content Accounting
• Ensure accurate, timely, and complete Budget, Cost Report and Breakage review, analysis, and reporting
• Manage cash flow and funding processes
• Experience with local market taxes, IVA/ VAT taxes
• Consolidation of production cost and cash flow reporting applications along with providing explanations for material changes
• Partner with other members of the Netflix International Originals team and third party local production services companies
• Provide training, guidance, and leadership to the team. Ensure implementation of best practices, financial controls, and cash management
• Creating insightful presentations that summarize analysis and presenting them to groups of Netflix managers and executives to influence decision-making
• Compiling thoughtful post-mortem analyses to determine areas for optimization and improvement
• Experience in market intelligence and keep abreast of current and changing industry trends and evolving technologies
• Help develop and test the next generation of production finance tools that enable better economies of scale
Requirements:
• 7 years production finance experience and/or experience in consulting services, private equity, investment banking, or FMGC sectors with exposure in Latin America
• Fluency in English and Spanish language
• Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment
• Must possess a high level of intellectual curiosity with a focus on generating results
• Solid understanding of the territory, tax, and government compliance requirements
• Budgeting and production accounting experience required
• Must exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics
• Strong leadership skills
• Must be self-motivated, disciplined, passionate, highly organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks
• High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving and analysis utilizing financial applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A college degree in finance, economics, engineering, or similar is preferred
