Social Media & Content Marketing Manager for Spirits Network (channel of NBTV, Inc)
Purpose of Position: A successful Social Media & Content Marketing Manager will be experienced, talented, creative, and a highly motivated individual to lead our social media, content creation and content marketing initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Identify the right channels and establish our social presence to build awareness and interest for Spirits Network.
- Build a long-term content roadmap and manage to a short-term calendar for social media, email marketing, video, long-form content, infographics, blogs and earned media.
- Collaborate with our partners, providers, supporters, and influencers and work alongside creative resources to rapidly develop high-quality content that aligns with audience needs, scientific evidence, our positioning, and brand identity.
- Build online relationships with influencers and key audiences, including the public, media, patients, supporters, researchers, community stakeholders, and other organizations working to end the opioid crisis.
- Listen, moderate, and respond to comments and conversations across all communications channels including customer service.
- Establish social media guidelines and train and support staff to reinforce our strategy and contribute to constructive online conversations.
- Develop social media and content metrics and goals, analyze and report on performance weekly, and suggest and implement optimizations
- Maintain regular and comprehensive communications with internal and external stakeholders.
Competencies:
- Experience with spirits brands or the spirits industry
- Demonstrated ability to drive engagement and build communities using owned and earned channels.
- Demonstrated skill for storytelling in multimedia formats and collaborating with creative stakeholders.
- Exceptional business communication and creative writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in communicating on behalf of an organization where sensitivity, empathy, and accuracy is paramount.
- Experience leveraging analytics to understand and communicate social media performance.
- Experience working remotely with distributed teams; must be highly responsive and communicative.
- Please be prepared to share samples of original written and multimedia content assets you've produced.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, journalism or related field or equivalent work experience of eight years.
- 5-7 years of social media and content management experience, with a record of accomplishment developing and implementing social media strategies and integrated campaigns in collaboration with multiple stakeholders, preferably within other start-up organizations
Technical Proficiencies
- Proficiency with social media management and listening tools
- Experience with collaboration software such as Asana, Trello, Slack, etc.
- Proficiency building reports with Excel and PowerPoint using data from Facebook, Twitter, Google Analytics and other sources.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud tools
- Experience with Wordpress
