MOTION GRAPHICS DESIGNER
Nbtv is launching its own proprietary interactive network and is looking for an exceptional Motion Graphics Designer with 3-5+ years experience and a proven design and animation portfolio for media, TV, film and boutique production studios. As the lead internal motion graphics designer, your role will be instrumental in developing original static and moving assets, ranging from idents, network identity elements, episode titles and more complex animations within our original programming slate.

Duties and responsibilities include:
3-5+ years of professional hands-on motion graphics design and animation experience
Expert knowledge of Adobe CC (especially Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Audition), Sketch, and screencasting tools - including intelligently organizing files for design iteration, motion and web production, optimized for sharing with editors and designers
A proven ability to tell stories in creative ways using high-quality graphics and animation, be it as standalone graphics, titles and sequences and embedded within live action video content
Proven ability to work independently and as a team
Strong project management skills and an ability to coordinate outsourced motion graphics projects when at capacity (via freelancers and external suppliers chosen by NBTV)
Strong grasp of design best practices around type, branding, user experience, and motion graphics
Can work in partnership with the VP of Creative and product managers to create visual pieces that get to the heart of the story.
Reliable judgment to adapt diverse style requirements to fit overall company identity and ability to work with others to find solutions
Should be expert with the tools needed to create 2D and basic 3D static assets animations from scratch, as well as have the ability to create bespoke illustrations.
Should be able to produce finalized content for different platforms, including mobile and social.
Desirable additional skills:
Knowledge of Cinema 4D
Experience in UI design, web design, motion design, Apple TV and video editing
Understanding of front-end web development, including a familiarity with HTML, CSS, iOS, etc and experience working with developers.
You should be a self-starting idea generator and your reel should demonstrate vision and versatility. An interest in creating innovative styles across all required formats is a must. This is a contract position with a view to extend to permanent.
