Role Summary:
A Late Night Programming show is seeking a Writers Assistant to join their Production Staff. This is a staff role with an end date and is anticipated to last the duration of one production season.
Responsibilities:
• A high degree of confidentiality and discretion are expected in regards to all matters and documents.
• Primary role is to provide support for the writing staff.
• Assist in copying and distributing scripts and rundowns.
• Answering phones and taking messages during staff writing sessions and studio rehearsals.
• Conduct online research relevant to sketches and material being written for the show.
• Identify and flag potential script issues for music clearance and the legal department.
• Keeping up with changes as scripts are rewritten throughout the week.
• Assist in managing a small team of production interns.
• Coordinate and organize writer's rooms.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of prior assistant or internship experience in TV or features (preferably at a studio or network) supporting high level employees.
• Minimum 1 year experience using Microsoft Office (Final Draft, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Additional Requirements:
• Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

• Weekly salary range: $1,211.25 - $1,425
• Hourly salary range: $17.00 - $20.00
• The candidate who fills this position will be paid at least 60 hours per week regardless of whether they work less than 60 hours. Hours over 37.5 hrs/wk will be paid at the appropriate overtime rate.
