This is a Freelance Job
• Work with technical and news staff to satisfy production needs for live, taped and automated programming, under supervision of Director & Operations Management
• Playback recorded elements from multiple ingest channels for select Pre/Post game shows
• Record other events for immediate highlight turnaround in shows
• Primary responsibility for live operation of multiple Ross cambots and “Furio” robotics, rooftop and POV cameras across multiple studios
• Live operation includes all moves, focusing, presets and shot recalls
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Communications) or equivalent work experience required
• One (1) year of related tape experience in live, multi-camera studio production preferred
• Familiarity with AVID “Command” (playback), Grass Valley “Dyno” (replay)
• Familiarity with Ross Cambots & Furio robotics (studio)
• Familiarity with Telemetrics robotics (roof)
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and set / strike studio gear
Desired Characteristics
• Familiarity with NY sports a plus
• Proficiency in iNEWS or similar newsroom software system preferred
• With proper training, serve as fill-in for all other Tech 1 positions as needed (Studio Broadcast Tech, Video Shading, Jib)
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills required
• Must be a collaborative team player who works well with others, in a fast paced, dynamic studio environment
• Available to work flexible, non-traditional hours including weekends and holidays
