Senior Financial Analyst - E! and G4 Networks

PURPOSE:

To provide financial and analytical support for all aspects of programming and production activities including budgeting, forecasting, pacing, accounting and reporting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and maintain acquired programming for E! and G4. Accurately track and project programming assets, payments and amortization schedules for each network
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and pacings
• Assist in the preparation of the LRP and valuation analyses of the programming segment
• Support all aspects of the month-end closing and financial reporting cycles
• Prepare month-end closing journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial statements schedules
Perform analysis of actual financial results compared to budget and forecast
• Perform programming cash analysis
• Assist with all aspects of developing and maintaining financial reporting systems: Compass, BW and SAP
• Research and make recommendations on accounting issues in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare year-end and interim audit schedules
• Ad hoc reporting/projects for management
• Other responsibilities, as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4 year Accounting or Finance degree
• Knowledge of GAAP
• 3 years relevant work experience

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
• Excellent spreadsheet skills required, including the ability to write macros, use lookup tables and name/range functions
• Knowledge of SAP, Compass and BW a plus
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills a must, as is the ability to juggle many tasks at one time and change gears quickly
• Knowledge of the entertainment industry helpful but not required
• Efficiency, speed, accuracy, pro-active approach to job, and excellent people skills essential
