Job Description:
Hallie Jackson NOW on NBC News NOW focuses on breaking news, developing stories, and fast-paced content creation. The Production Assistant will contribute to the show by editing video and graphics, assisting producers, and pitching engaging stories.
Responsibilities:
• Work with Associate Producers and Producers to edit video and graphics.
• Research and fact-check stories with speed and accuracy.
• Pitch stories for daily and future segments to resonate with the audience.
• Monitor show rundowns to ensure video and graphics are accurate and current.
• Mine and edit compelling video and sound for assigned stories.
Qualifications:
• At least 1+ year of experience in broadcast, digital, or cable, including internships.
• Proficiency in video editing using Premiere and/or Avid.
• Passion for journalism and staying current with the latest news across topics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under intense deadlines with attention to detail.
• Thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• Willingness to work in New York, New York.
