Producer, TODAY Show (3rd Hour)
As a Producer for the TODAY Show, you will be responsible for pitching, developing, and turning news of day and live segments for next day air. This person will sit on a primarily New York-based team, and will work a Sunday â€'' Thursday shift.
Responsibilities:
• Produce original news content, primarily for broadcast, including research, conducting interviews, writing and editing scripts, field producing and shooting, overseeing editing, and producing live newsmaker segments.
• Role is expected to both pitch story ideas and work on assigned stories developed by the editorial team
• Work with Standards & Legal Team to ensure Editorial Standards of all segments
• Must be able to produce both tape spots (both news and feature stories) and live segments
• Produce live guests for newsmakers, various consumer, medical and/or lifestyle segments.
Qualifications
• ​​​​​​At least 4 years' editorial experience working in production at the network level, preferably with morning television
• A Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related discipline
• Must have strong journalistic writing skills, research skills, and editorial judgment
• Demonstrated strong knowledge and interest in news and current events
• Strong interpersonal skills and storytelling ability
• Required to work Sunday â€'' Thursday
• Must have flexible hours: willing to work overtime, nights, holidays and weekends, often with short notice

Desired Qualifications
• Shoot and Editing skills is preferable
• Media Central or equivalent, Avid and iNews
