Part Time Paid Internship
Responsibilities
Do you want to work for one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies in the development, production, marketing of entertainment and news?
Please be aware Format Sales is more creative than other Sales roles, as it's essentially selling ideas to international producers/broadcasters.
To join one of our 12-month Internships ideally you will be studying or have no more than one year of experience post your graduating with a degree-level or equivalent course.
You must also be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship.
To ensure that you are considered for the placement that best fits your interest and skillset, we recommend that you apply to no more than 3 placements
Qualifications
/Requirements
Responsibilities
include;
• Providing day to day administrative support including diary management for the team, coordinating internal and external meetings, organizing travel and accommodation for sales trips.
• Managing the flow of production materials into the team and acting as a first point of contact for clients in terms of sales materials – sending out format summaries, ratings reports and screeners.
• Maintaining the TV Formats website
• Preparing scheduling and logistics for sales markets and trips.
• Liaising with internal/external stakeholders at various levels on a regular basis
• Contributing to ad-hoc projects, which may include conducting research and writing/proofreading copy
• Collating various reports and updates for distribution as appropriate
• Maintaining calendar of events, adjusting according to changes in schedules
• Interpreting performance trends and providing market context to the relevant departments
• Communicating market analysis in a relevant format to feed into the wider business strategy and enable business decisions
• Supporting Sales and/or Acquisitions / Production teams with insights to identify relevant opportunities
• Updating and maintaining various trackers and databases;
• Seeking out contemporary TV business intel;
Essential Skills:
• A passion for Broadcasting and Media (particularly an interest in TV/Entertainment) with a desire to develop a career in Sales and/or Production
• Proactive and enthusiastic, with ability to work autonomously to deadlines, take initiative and keep calm under pressure
• Analytical with outstanding attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and ability to effectively prioritise and manage workload
• Self-starter and fast learner, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a busy team
• Ability to work with confidential materials discreetly and responsibly
• Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills; confident in communication with senior management
• Willingness to learn and ''can-do'' attitude
• Foreign language preferable
• Production know how e.g. editing skills (for producing promos) preferable
