This is a Part Time Paid Internship
Responsibilities
We are currently recruiting for an Industrial Engineering intern to focus on analysis and optimization for our Technical Services warehouse. Our team is currently work to identify and reduce process flow issues in order to eliminate delays, shortages, and overtime hours. This intern will focus on re-organizing storage spaces, creating SOPs and implementing process fixes.
The internship will last approximately 13 weeks and will give interns exposure to the theme park business along with the ability to complete an impactful business project. Interns will learn about our business by participating in development workshops, attending team and 1:1 meetings, and attending intern events.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Current college student in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a relevant field
• Class standing of junior or above with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Expert in Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
• Self-starter, resourceful, has a good work ethic
• Previous project work or internship in industrial engineering including some of the following:
o Design and execute time studies/observations for various operational groups
o Assist with data collection and analysis
o Implementing new procedures and/or standard work
o Collecting and analyzing data for long-term projects
• Must be 18 years of age or older, have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without a visa or sponsorship
• Must be able to work a minimum of two days per week, during the Monday - Friday work week, on-site in Universal City, CA
Desired Characteristics
• Solid background in statistics and statistical analysis
• Previous experience working with warehouse systems and processes
• Experience with creating standard operating procedures
• Experience with operational audits, time studies and other practical work measurement/analysis methods
• Knowledge of and desire to work in a themed entertainment environment
• Previous work experience in an office environment
