Responsibilities
Role: Human Resources Manager – (9-month FTC)
Reporting to: HR Director
Location: Central London

You will have a passion for building strong and trusted relationships with employees and managers, as well as the broader HR community. Reporting to the HR Director for Networks and TV Distribution, you will also collaborate closely with the VP, HR for TV Distribution based in LA.
This role will give you the rare opportunity to operate at all levels of a truly global matrixed business, providing support on all aspects of core employee and organizational management, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, immigration and payroll/benefits. You will have a close business partnering relationship with all TV Distribution Managers, especially those at VP level and above.
YOU WILL BE…
• Working closely with business and HR leadership to own and drive the International TV HR priorities – specifically for two select client groups based in the UK and South Africa but with the opportunity to regularly collaborate with the Global HR teams.
• Managing, developing and coaching the HR Coordinator to ensure they are continually growing and learning in their business-critical role.
• Supporting and managing annual business cycles, including talent reviews, performance management, pay reviews, headcount planning and budget management.
• Contributing to the HR agenda for NBCUniversal International and act as an active participant and collaborator within the International HR team.
• Building and maintaining effective partnerships with specialist and generalist International HR teams, including Reward, Global Mobility, Talent Acquisition and Development
• Operating at all levels of the business, providing support on all aspects of the employee lifecycle including;
Employee Relations
• Manage and resolve complex employee queries.
• Advise, coach and support managers on performance management practices (including informal performance meetings, performance improvement plans), disciplinary and grievance processes, flexible working, maternity, paternity, shared parental leave etc.
• Collaborate to support culture change, ensure values and behaviours are consistently communicated and upheld.
• Work with the business on any organizational design & change management processes.
• As and when required, work with relevant stakeholders to prepare business cases for benchmarking exercises, requests for promotion etc.
Learning and Development
• Know your talent across the entire client group and pro-actively partner with all levels of Management to identify business needs, skills gaps and development opportunities.
• Be a brand ambassador for the development offerings and ensure you and your Managers are fully aware of the opportunities available internally and externally, working closely with the Talent Development team.
• Support key HR initiatives including performance management, succession planning, annual surveys and key employee communications. Create and deliver HR presentations to employees in line with the centralized offering and guidance.
Immigration
• Work closely with the Global Mobility team to maintain best practice standards on immigration processes. Ensure any potential international relocations are discussed and budgeted well in advance of relocations being agreed.
• Manage relocation cases from start to finish, ensuring that Resident Labour Tests are completed when recruiting

• Demonstrates extensive generalist HR partnering experience including employee relations, employment law, performance management, coaching, change management, talent management, attraction and retention.
• Has a strong understanding of UK employment law and knows where to access expert advice for any relevant countries.
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Ability to multi-task is essential!
• Displays high attention to detail and a methodical approach. Ability to prioritize workload, excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Has the ability to be discreet and professional when handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Has an adaptable, collaborative and open style with demonstrated ability to navigate through a complex matrix organization spread across numerous International territories.
• Possesses a solution orientated mindset who has the ability to deliver on potentially complex matters in a timely and efficient way.
• Has strong stakeholder management.
• Has excellent written and verbal communication.
• Possesses strong computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
