Dailies Colorist

The Dailies Colorist will be responsible for applying LUTs, CDLs, scene-to-scene grade matching, and working closely with dailies assists, and producers to ensure timely delivery of processed deliverables on a daily basis. You will need to have a thorough understanding and proven knowledge of color correction as it relates to the dailies process for both feature and episodic workflows. You must be extremely organized and artistically driven, with the proven ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of process simultaneously.
What You’ll Do:
• Process client footage according to the specifications provided by dailies producer
• Apply onset color or make manual color adjustments as required
• QC both processed dailies and OCN to identify issues in camera original and rendered media
• Ensure timeliness and technical accuracy of every client delivery
• Communicate with dailies producers and dailies pipeline manager on a daily basis throughout the duration of a project to ensure client satisfaction is met
• Abide by strict security for client's intellectual property
• Shift work schedule, where necessary, and be open to nights, weekends, and travel work
• Other duties as assigned

• Deep knowledge base – Clear understanding of video standards, transcoding software, framerates, resolutions, and aspect ratios
What You Must Have:
• 3 Experience working with media from the latest digital cinema cameras (RED, Alexa, Venice, etc.)
• Established understanding of color correction and its function in dailies (credit list outlining previously worked projects is a plus)
• 3 Experience working with Colorfront, Cortex, Avid Media Composer, and Resolve
• Mac and Linux OS proficient

• Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
