Summer 2024 Recruitment Timeline:

Summer 2024 Internship Program:

• Program Dates: June 3 â€'' August 9, 2024
• Time Commitment: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.
• Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from the Universal City, CA office 3-5 days per week.

TheEntertainment Groupdevelops and schedules the network's primetime, late-night, and daytime entertainment programming, including USA, SYFY, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, and Universal Kids. NBC's quality programs and balanced line-up have earned the network critical acclaim, numerous awards and ratings success, including most recently winning the traditional September-to-May season in primetime's key demo, marking the network's third win in four years. NBC has earned more Emmy Awards than any network in television history.
Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:
• Bravo, E! and Oxygen Multiplatform Strategy & Planning: We are looking for an intern who can join the team and make a large impact across the biggest show campaigns, scripted and non-scripted series, news and live events within our portfolio. This individual will be tasked with planning and scheduling daily logs on selected networks and working with the overall marketing group to determine the best approach to take when we receive our plethora of promotional content.
• Campaign Project Management: Assist Production Assistants and SYFY/Oxygen teams with various on-air and off-air projects, Monthly Music Reporting for all on-air deliverables for USA and SYFY shows, organize and manage show assets and deliverables via Dropbox, organize production trackers in Airtable, assist Press leads with creating screeners, pulling press clips and/or images for broadcast appearances and/or article features for USA/Universal Kids shows, pitch and edit promotional content for on-air and off-air for Oxygen and SYFY shows, and regulate and arrange asset logs - watching and sorting through Oxygen/SYFY footage
• E! News Booking: Our intern will help support the bookers on this team as they bring in interviews with talent from film, TV, music, sports, the lifestyle space and other newsworthy names. The intern will help the team track their successes but also broaden the scope of talent we are looking at, to bring an expanded curation of talent to E! News' editors for consideration and to reflect the wide reach of E!'s audience's interests, provide support for our shows when necessary and will potentially help greet talent for these shows, and any other opportunities when talent is joining us in-studio. Our intern will also help us keep our documents for tracking team wins, updated and also make sure our databases of rep contacts are kept up to date so we are able to get in touch quickly with the best contacts for talent, and more.
• Entertainment Casting: Maintain internal talent database, curate daily casting news from trades, research upcoming theater and comedy shows, compile ongoing lists of TV premiere dates and cancelled series, manage the Competitive Pilot Report and track showcases during pilot season
• Entertainment Scripted Content: Schedule and track meetings and pitches for junior executives on the team, file and submit development pitches in online filing system, create weekly “Premiere Week†newsletters detailing all upcoming premieres, releases and finales, competitive or internal, script coverage, take notes during creative calls and pitches
• Game Show, Lifestyle & True Crime Production Operations: The Game Show, Competition, True Crime, Documentary, and Live Events vertical in the Production & Operations department is the heart of production management for all cable networks, broadcast, and streaming for NBCU alternative content. Interns will attend and participate in all production operation meetings, manage FineCut, NBCU's internal screening system, review and audit post-production materials in wrap bibles, support Production Managers with document review, updating production spreadsheets, and distributing production information, and liase with asset storage facilities (Bonded/Iron Mountain)
• Marketing Shoots Production: Backup PA's, PC's, Producers, Executive Producers, and VP of Shoots Team on shoot preparation and wrap, provide production related and archive related support to Shoots Team when needed, such as taking notes, collating information for agendas, backing up files via Dropbox, SharePoint and Airtable, initiating conversations with vendors on certain projects, shoot related research, etc, provide production related support on remote & physical marketing shoots when needed, such as logging takes, script notes, putting together talent packets
• Scripted Production Operations: The scriptedinternwill work with thescriptedProduction & Operations teamonvarious scripted projects across the networks.We as a department oversee all scripted series and MOW forNBCUniversal Television and Streaming(Peacock, NBC, USA, SYFY & E!)to ensure they stay on time and budget, adhere to companypoliciesand submit the necessary deliverables. An intern will get a broad overview and understanding of physical production and how it is tracked at the network level
