Summary:
The Sr Manager, Fashion & Living key accounts, North America Consumer Products should have a minimum of 8 years' experience with Category Brand strategy, knowledge of the licensing and retail landscape in the fashion and home business. The candidate will have established relationships with manufacturers and / or retailers in this space, a successful track record developing and executing category strategies and tactics, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the breadth of skills required to help execute key initiatives & overall growth of the Fashion & Home business.
This position will be based in Bentonville Arkansas
Responsibilities include:
• Responsible for curating merchandise assortments for fashion and home for Walmart & designated accounts and drive quality and champion innovation in product development
• Responsible for identifying opportunities, and filling gaps by product category and related sub-categories, age segment, channel, and franchise for Walmart and designated accounts partnering with category and retail sales leads
• In line with the regional category strategy, develop, set, and execute category retail strategies for the Fashion & Living categories for Walmart and designated accounts in conjunction with relevant stakeholders, including plans for new business for each sub-category and franchise
• In partnership with category leads, develop and manage new business (i.e., specialty accounts, DTRs), including merchandising and planning
• Contribute to meeting Fashion & Living's annual budget planning by supporting category managers with quarterly forecasting process, category objectives and initiatives to drive growth
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, competitors, business opportunities, threats, and dynamics for key licensees, and buying cycles of retailers
• Support brand marketing initiatives including the development and execution of category plans
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Minimum of 8 years of industry expertise in licensing, apparel, home. Direct Walmart fashion and fashion specialty retail experience a plus.
• Strong understanding of brand and property positioning, retail business development function, retail distribution and the retail environment
• Strong category strategy, merchandising retail assortments and management/project expertise
• Understands product development lifecycle and merchandise planning
• Strong communication & presentation skills; persuasive selling
• Strong relationship building
• Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking
• Retail savvy
• Fluent in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office as well as Keynote
• Flexible/ability to adjust to changing business environment
• Innovative, entrepreneurial, and creative thinker
• Team player
Desired Characteristics:
• Retailer and/or vertical experience in fashion and home
• Comprehensive knowledge of apparel production timelines and creative capabilities/limitations
• Able to present to internal stakeholders, licensees, and external partners/retailer meetings and influence and persuade at all levels of an organization, both internal and external
• Flexible and adaptable; able to collaborate and work cross functionally with creative/PD, retail, and franchise counterparts
• Relationships in the licensed apparel and home industry
