Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced off-platform specialist, a Social Media Manager to join our NBCU Sky's inhouse agency, Catalyst. We are looking for someone who will drive impact on our campaigns and deliver learnings, expertise and best practices.
Key to the role is helping plan, execute and amplify global campaigns, providing supporting analysis and post campaign effectiveness reporting utilizing the full spectrum of NBCU's international digital portfolio, both on and off platform, as well as third party partner sites.
Just as important, is someone who is buzzed by off-platform storytelling, who can link content effectively to audiences, who can guide and lead our storytelling evolution and adaptation of new technologies and trends.
In terms of impact, the primary aim of this role is to maximize campaign performance and extend audience engagement to deliver on client KPIs. The secondary aim is to continue the enhancement of our social media capabilities, to help deliver additional revenue by ensuring channels are fully optimized and exploited.
This role works within the Brand and Creative Strategy group. Reporting to the team director, the candidate will work closely with team members in London and Singapore to deliver results.
The role will contribute to the systems and processes across the Catalyst group to ensure the best and most effective and advanced ways of content promotion are being delivered across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Ideation
• Work with our Brand Strategy unit to support development of new content initiatives drawing upon audience insight, social trends engagement metrics and social listening efforts.
• Keep up-to-date on the evolution of the social media industry, identifying new platforms, products and content promotion capabilities to expand audience reach (ie Insta Guides/FB instant experiences/TikTok).
• Share knowledge and expertise with the wider Catalyst team to upskill sales/creatives on the amplification landscape, and competitor activity, with context of potential revenue opportunities.
Implementation
• Daily duties will include scheduling, forecasting, setting-up, monitoring and optimizing live campaigns across social and off-site platforms, ensuring full delivery of traffic KPIs with effective use of allocated budgets.
• Responsible for coordinating production of multiple headline/image variations to maximize promotion potential.
• Act as first responder on campaign delivery issues to troubleshoot and escalate when necessary.
• Contribute campaign status updates, delivery reports and action plans weekly to sales and wider internal stakeholders.
• Ensure effective cost management across the various platforms, recalibrating spends where appropriate to deliver the highest audience consumption/engagement yield, whilst also maximizing net revenue potential.
• Work upstream with the content studio to ensure alignment across existing creative assets available and content release timelines.
Measurement
• Perform in-depth analysis on campaign performance and content trends to help inform future brands & creative strategy, digital product development and creative output.
• Test and evaluate new platform experiences.
• Knowledge and application of audience data targeting solutions and retargeting opportunities to help maximize impact of content promotional capabilities.
Social partnership/vendor management
• Work closely with suppliers and 3rd party vendors to ensure we are utilizing the most up-to-date digital tools and systems to enhance promotional capabilities.
• Be the point contact to manage third party vendors & partners e.g. Polar, Taboola and Outbrain etc.
• Developing strategies to use and manage additional resources e.g. social listening tools.
The role will work closely with our global team across APAC, EMEA and the United States.
Qualifications
/Requirements
Skills
& Experience:
- Outstanding written, verbal and visual communication skills.
- Minimum 3-5 years in running social media campaigns or campaign components, or managing social media publishing.
- Expertise in video and digital content development, including native advertising.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing publisher landscape, with track record of leading strategic content marketing promotions across social and other off platforms.
- A collaborative, ‘can do' approach that encourages co-operation between internal departments and helps to enhance NBCU's client relationships.
- Creativity and a passion for innovative problem solving.
- An ability to multi-task and thrive in a high-pressured environment; meet deadlines and effectively prioritise projects.
- Familiarity and experience with social listening and amplification as well as analytical tools such as Sprinklr, Sprout, DOMO etc.
Requirements:
- University degree and media qualification preferred.
- Willingness to travel as required and to work flexible hours when necessary.
- Proactively contribute to a positive team atmosphere and company culture.
- Excellent communication skills. A high level of written and verbal communication in English.
