Responsibilities
Overall goal of the entire ELG Shoot Team
Produce and Supervise every aspect of the execution of physical production on shoots for all marketing assets (video/print/digital/photo) across NBCUniversal Television and Streaming networks and other teams across the NBCUniversal/Comcast Company as bandwidth/opportunities allow
Role Purpose
The Senior Producer is the key manager during the execution of production that liaises between in-house creative team, commercial production companies, and/or show productions. As on-set supervisor of production, the producer oversees the budgetary and physical production needs of the shoot, while also managing network needs, talent, vendors, and clients.
Responsibilities:
• Work with NBCUniversal Television and Streaming networks, as well as other NBCUniversal Business Divisions, to determine production needs in support of creative requests on a project by project basis
• Own and execute the entire production process for Medium to High priority Promo shoots (Video/Digital/Photo) from start to finish, inclusive but not limited to running pre-production, tech scouts, legal/talent and EHS clearances, all aspects of the shoot day/s and delivery of all footage/images to the Post Ops Team/NBCUniversal Photo Department
• Train Associate Producer and Production Coordinator on all aspects of shoots hard and soft skills
• Support Associate Producer and Production Coordinator on Featured Interview, BTS, Embedded Crews and Promo Shoots as bandwidth is needed
• Hire and manage production companies, production services, and/or directors as needed
• Review, negotiate and approve bids from commercial & service production companies
• Estimate and execute Union and Non-Union Talent Contracts
• Understand basics of production legal requirements and work with counsel to create and execute contracts and agreements
• Work daily with legal counsel on contracts and agreements on a project by project basis
• Work with EHS and other Covid related safety teams for all shoots to maintain all safety protocols & guidelines established by NBCUniversal
• Liaise between in-house creative teams, production companies, show productions, press,
talent, & any other project stakeholder teams, to facilitate project coordination and execution
• Support Producers/Executive Producers on all projects and assist in the organization, fully completed and filing of all for larger scale promo & marketing shoots, including but not limited to PSA's, SOWs, Talent Releases, EHS paperwork, etc.
• Handle payroll and onboarding for new vendors / services
• Provide additional support for other promotional shoots
• Work on Special Projects as assigned
• Recognize and act with a strong sense of urgency, responsibility and timeliness to time pressures and multiple deadlines for a variety of projects
• Coordinator and work with the Post Operations Team and PMAM teams for delivery of all shoot footage to appropriate parties
• Backup for the Production Coordinator, Associate Producer, Sr. Producer and Executive Producer responsibilities as need
• Manage internal creative, sales, press, talent, brand and marketing teams to ensure projects are on schedule and on budget
Qualifications/Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• College Degree
• Minimum 5 years production experience - preferably as a Line Producer working with project budgets in excess of $100K
• Working knowledge of shoot budgets using AICP & standard commercial production formats
• Demonstrated knowledge of on set production rules and requirements
• Demonstrated Knowledge of IATSE, SAG_AFTRA, and DGA rules and requirements
• Prior experience working with celebrity and non-celebrity talent and talent agents/managers/handlers
• Knowledge of technical aspects of video production, including current cameras and gear, specifications, and post production workflows
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and production budgeting programs
• Prior experience at advertising agency, production company, television or streaming networks
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Willingness to travel extensively, and work overtime and/or on weekends as necessary with short notice
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
