ROLE
We are looking for a Senior HR Manager for our growing successful International Studios and Hayu businesses based in London. You will be responsible for providing HR leadership, advice, coaching and guidance to all central studios & Hayu employees and contractors. Delivering a first-class HR service, proactively engaging on all people related activities.
Reporting into the London VP, HR you will be a trusted partner working closely with the Executives and Leadership teams in the business on culture, organisational design, performance and the hiring of both internal and external talent. You will create HR programs which enable each individual organisations growth and strategic plans.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys developing strong partnerships with client groups and who can adapt and flex on a regular basis. The nature of the businesses are creative, and we'll look to you to provide expert advice, proactive solutions and strong partnering on all aspects of employment and contracting basis.
Some of the key focus areas are;
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner closely with the key leadership teams in the two business functions, creating and executing the talent agenda and strategy
- Become an integral part of the leadership teams, working with all stakeholders to deliver against the strategic people vision which support and drive the expected growth
- Lead on all HR initiatives across departments, including culture & engagement, staffing, performance, talent management, compensations planning, training and development, reward & recognition, organisational design and communications
- Provide coaching and support to the leadership teams to enable them in leading teams. Offering feedback and advice on all organisational and employee issues.
- Collaborate with the US studios and D2C business HR teams, aligning HR initiatives with the wider group strategies.
- Lead and coach an HR Manager, supporting their development and career growth.
- Lead and support cultural change within the businesses. Aligning the business values into the employee lifecycle and experience.
- Identify and lead opportunities for improved talent management processes.
- Take the lead on resolving employee relations issues and providing coaching and guidance throughout the process.
- Work with the leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work culture which encourages the full use of the organisations diverse talents and abilities.
- Be a brand ambassador for the NBC development offerings and ensure Managers are fully aware of the opportunities and the overall curriculum.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- You will be an experienced Senior HR business partner / Director with experience of building trusted relationships with Executives
- You will demonstrate leadership competence in driving culture change, coaching and development
- You will have experience of organisational design and execution of change
- You will have experience in managing HR within a fast-paced dynamic & creative environment
- You will have exceptional employment law knowledge and experience of managing complex change
- You will have experience in creating and executing HR strategies along with tactical priorities
- You must be able work independently in a fast-paced creative environment and meet tight deadlines
- You will be able to engage, influence and develop strong relationships with in a creative production environment
- Our organisation is heavily matrixed so the ability to navigate this, collaborate and ensure all stakeholders are communicated with is key
- Multi-tasking is crucial for this role- you will be someone that is solutions focused and able to deliver on potentially complex matters in a timely and efficient way. You'll consider attention to detail one of your strengths, working with a methodical approach, prioritising your workload and have great organisational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate across all levels and flex your style in various scenarios
- You're able to really demonstrate the ‘human' in human resources, understanding your groups and identifying creative ways in which to engage them in all people related activity
