Overview:
The Senior Accountant will be part of the NBCU Studio Group’s accounting team responsible for the operational accounting of the TV Production division. This role will assist and perform accounting functions such as monthly close, journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis. In addition to regular duties, the position will be charged with ad hoc reporting and finance projects as needed. The Senior Accountant will report to the Sr. Manager, Accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Understand the nature of TV licensing contracts and processes for proper billing and revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
• Support timely and accurate cash application activities, including research and resolution of discrepancies
• Prepare journal entries and related support
• Prepare all required account reconciliations in accordance with Company policy
• Preparation and correspondence related to external and internal audit requests
• Perform ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed

Qualifications
Basic Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2 years relevant accounting/finance experience
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLookups, Pivot tables and macros
Desired Characteristics
• CPA preferred
• The ability to plan and organize work to meet tight deadlines.
• Solid organization and communication skills.
• Exceptional analytical ability and detailed oriented.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential for this fast-paced environment.
• SAP/BW/Vistex experience highly desirable; willingness to learn new systems as necessary.
• Self-Starters who are assertive, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.
• Big 4 and/or Entertainment experience a plus.
Additional Requirements
Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
